早稲田から宇田川町に移転

早稲田で約2年オープンしてきました『アップリンク・ギャラリー』が渋谷の宇田川町に移転しました。

■テニスコーツ
さや (vo,etc)と植野隆司 (ギター,etc)を中心とした東京の不定形ユニット。近年は工藤冬里率いる"マヘル・シャラル・ハシュ・バズ"への参加や、DJ Klockとのエレクトロなプロジェクト"Cacoy"などでも多彩な活動を行っている。「テニスコーツのテーマ」('00、majikick)、「エンディングテーマ」('02、noble/midi creative)の2枚のミニアルバムに続き、小杉淳(ex-不失者)、ティム・バーンズ (ジム・オルーク・バンド、渚にて)も参加した渾身のファーストアルバム「we are everyone」 (rover records)がリリースされたばかり。

■生西康典
L'Arc〜en〜Cielのライブ映像、UAやオリジナル・ラブなどのPVを制作。また大竹伸朗"MOUSE ESCAPE"や田名網敬一"TANAAMISM 2"といった画家とのコラボレーション映像、アップリンクからリリースされた"IMAGE GARDEN"など現在発売中の数多くのDVDでも、彼の暴力的なまでに美しい作品を見ることができる。その他ボアダムス等を手がけ国際的に評価の高いVJワーク、DJ/絵画/デザイン/インスタレーションなど様々な領域においても一貫した姿勢で活動を続ける反骨の映像詩人。

『The Planet:Transport』展「360'records exhibition vol.3

アルゼンチン発のアニメーション、映像作品を多数収録したオムニバスDVD『The Planet』リリース関連展示『The Planet:Transport』展が開催されます。アルゼンチン音響派の中心人物であるフェルナンド・カブサッキのサウンドに18名のアルゼンチンの映像作家、アーティストが映像をつけた、アルゼンチン未来派音響にふさわしいまだ日本には未知の映像作品、アルゼンチンならではのアイデアにあふれたアニメーションを多数収録した、映像版『The Planet』のDVDリリース記念と、フェルナンド・カブサッキの11月の来日を記念して開催されるこのイベントには、アルゼンチン音響派シーンとも親交の深い女性画家で、『The Planet』DVDにも参加しているモニカ・ペラルタ、GAGA INC with MUMMBLEBOYとして日本に来日もしている、キュートな動物が無機物、有機物と溶け合うユニークな絵画とVJとのコラボレーションにも積極的なアルゼンチンの若手アーティストのなかでももっとも注目されている一人であるジュリアン・ガトゥー、アルゼンチンの「アイスクリーム」に特にインスパイアされて奇妙なポケモンのような突然変異をつぎつぎと生み出すギレルミナ・ベイゲラなど、変わったアイデアを持ったアルゼンチンの若手アーティストたちが参加します。続きを読む
